GreenTec Cross-sector Integration

By networking medical technology, renewable energy generation and modern building technology we can achieve significant savings in electricity, water and CO₂ in dialysis centres. The savings potential is significantly higher than with individual solutions.

PRODUCTS

HE.RO

HE.RO stands for HEat up Reverse Osmosis. The HE.RO system utilises the green heat energy generated by the heat pump and PV to heat the drinking water before reverse osmosis. This provides the dialysis machine with pre-heated dialysis water.
This significantly reduces the amount of electricity required to heat the dialysis water. The operation of reverse osmosis becomes more efficient in terms of water and electricity consumption due to the increased and constant water inlet temperature.

Heat pump

A heat pump converts electricity into climate-friendly heat using natural heat from the ground, air or water. Using the laws of thermodynamics, each kilowatt of electrical energy is converted into around 3-4 kilowatts of heat or more.
Heat pumps have long proven their worth for heating and cooling buildings. We use this sustainable and efficient technology directly in the dialysis process to heat the dialysis fluid to approx. 37°C body temperature.

Photovoltaics (PV)

A PV system reduces your dialysis centre's electricity bill, as the self-generated solar power reduces the need for expensive grid electricity. Our aim is to consume as much of the self-generated electricity as possible directly in the dialysis centre, as feeding electricity into the grid is usually not very lucrative.
We achieve this by temporarily storing the PV surplus that is not already being used directly in the form of heat in special tanks at low cost. We use this thermal energy to heat the dialysis water.

We work with reputable suppliers and are able to design, supply and install the best possible system technology and combination for you, regardless of the manufacturer.

Digital services

With our GPS (GreenTec Performance System) software, you - the person responsible for the medical, nursing, technical or management aspects of a dialysis centre - are always well informed. Our digital services network, control and optimise the installed GreenTec Cross-sector Integration systems 365 days a year.

GPS Smart Energy

Our Smart Energy module visualises the GreenTec Dialysis sector network in real time. It shows how the photovoltaic system, heat pumps, heat storage and HE.RO work together to efficiently integrate the preheating of the dialysis water into the dialysis operation.
Smart Energy documents performance, including the degree of self-sufficiency and self-consumption, with the aim of centrally recording and optimising all relevant electricity and water consumption. This ensures more sustainable and efficient operation of the dialysis centre and reduces operating costs. If your centre is subject to statutory documentation requirements for energy management in accordance with ISO 50001 or if regular energy audits have to be carried out, Smart Energy takes over the necessary data collection.

GPS Smart Water

With our Smart Water software module, you have a digital overview of all relevant dialysis water treatment parameters at all times. Power and water consumption as well as the pre-filtration components are monitored. The system displays alarms and sends them by e-mail for a quick response.
Smart Water enables a clear visualisation of trends and average values that provide important insights into the performance of the system. This facilitates in-depth analyses, troubleshooting and system optimisation. A digital daily log in accordance with ISO 23500 eliminates the need for daily manual documentation of the water treatment systems and therefore saves time. Our aim is to ensure trouble-free operation so that you can concentrate fully on your core activities.

Smart Building

Under Smart Building, we develop and integrate additional services for your property.
The Smart Heating module, for example, ensures an ideal balance between comfort and energy efficiency in the dialysis centre. It ensures that patients enjoy a pleasant room temperature and avoids wasting energy at the same time. The system automatically turns the heating down when the room is ventilated. A night setback prevents unnecessary heating during the night.
Smart Heating makes it easy to set the target temperature. This intelligent heating control system optimises energy consumption while maintaining a comfortable indoor environment - for satisfied patients and efficient operation.

Subsidy Advice

Would you like to make your dialysis centre more sustainable and future-proof and take advantage of state subsidies? Our HE.RO concept in conjunction with a heat pump is BAFA-listed and between 45 and 65 % of the costs are subsidised. We will also be happy to advise you on other individual subsidy options.

Do you want to determine the CO₂ emissions of your dialysis centre, but don't know how?
We calculate the individual CO₂ footprint of your company. This knowledge helps you to derive targeted and measurable measures for reduction.

Energy Audit

Do you need to carry out an energy audit for your energy management in accordance with ISO 50001? We support you in implementing the legally required steps and evaluate the efficiency of energy use in your centre in order to identify potential for improvement and savings in your operations.

Optimisation of operations
