Solutions in use: HE.RO, Heat pump, GreenTec Performance System (GPS) Smart Water, Smart Energy

Description of the project

"For some time now, we have had the vision of becoming the first green dialysis centre in Germany. This is how the two partners Dr Christoph Korte and Dr Markus Weber and technical director Christian Meyer describe their idea and the joint project. In 2020, a Photovoltaic system was installed which has already led to significant energy savings. The operators then looked for a way to use even more of the PV electricity generated directly in the centre. This was made possible by the GreenTec Dialysis Cross-sector Integration and the use of air-water heat pumps from Remeha in combination with the GreenTec HE.RO system and the existing dialysis water treatment system from DWA Ubstadt-Weiher.

Benefits

  • Increase in PV self-consumption rate from approx. 43% to over 80%
  • Reduction of water consumption by approx. 560m³ per year through GPS data analysis
  • Integration of cold store and lifting system monitoring in Smart Dialysis® on customer request
