Description of the project:
Responsible further development of the centres within the group is of great importance to Operasan. The new building in St. Wendel served as a pilot project for the company to test our solutions in operation.
Objective: Holistic concept for resource conservation, including process water pre-heating, utilisation of surplus solar energy, increasing the self-consumption rate of solar power to 85%, and optimal design of the water treatment system.
Our services as GreenTec Dialysis GmbH:
Following specialist planning for medical technology and a sustainability concept, including application for public funding, we delivered the project as general contractor.
We implemented our Smart Dialysis concept, consisting of Cross-Sector Integration with connection to the existing PV system and our HE.RO in combination with a heat pump, as well as our GPS as control and monitoring software.
Installed PV capacity: 87 kWh peak and 2 x 1000 l buffer tanks for the use of surplus solar energy during dialysis-free periods (e.g. Sundays).
We networked our installations with a newly configured water treatment system, including relocation of the existing reverse osmosis unit. In addition, we installed a custom-designed media rail.
The combination of Cross-Sector Integration and our GPS is what we call “Smart Dialysis®”. Smart Dialysis enables our customers to save costs while using less energy and water.
This brings us closer to the goal of sustainable dialysis.
