The client was faced with the challenge of modernising their dialysis centre during ongoing operations. This involved expanding the treatment capacity and upgrade the technology, as well as creating a more appealing environment for both patients and staff. In addition, the self-consumption of the existing PV system was to be maximised.
In close cooperation with the client and the various trades involved, we developed a concept that combines ecological and economic aspects to enable future-proof dialysis.
Our services as GreenTec Dialysis GmbH:
We began by conducting a needs analysis across several areas (nursing, medical, technical) in our role as general contractor.
In order to relieve the nursing staff in shift operation, the practice was to be extended by 12 treatment places. We extended the permeate ring line, adapted the concentrate supply and installed the corresponding media rails.
We also implemented our Smart Dialysis concept consisting of Cross-Sector Integration, here using our HE.RO and Heat pump, and installed our GPS monitoring software. We integrated a two-stage reverse osmosis system from B.Braun and the existing PV system into our setup.
The combination of our Cross-Sector Integration and our GPS is what we call “Smart Dialysis®”. This smart dialysis approach enables our clients to reduce costs while consuming less energy and water.
In doing so, we as an industry move closer to the goal of green dialysis.
The kidney centre has been operating since 2006 on the edge of Saxon Switzerland.
