Description of the project
The clients wanted to convert an existing building into a dialysis practice. In close collaboration with the client and architects from the DialysisPlanningGroup, a concept was developed that combines ecological and economic aspects.
Our services as GreenTec Dialysis GmbH:
As the general contractor, we first conducted a needs assessment in various areas (nursing, medical, technical) and a product-neutral market analysis.
To fully integrate both economic and ecological aspects into the water treatment system, we implemented our Smart Dialysis concept consisting of Cross-Sector Integration, in this case with our HE.RO and connection to district heating, as well as our GPS control and monitoring software. This was combined with the installation of a new double-stage reverse osmosis system from B.Braun, integrated with hygienic heat disinfection system.
We call the combination of Cross-Sector Integration and our GPS “Smart Dialysis®”. This smart approach enables our customers to save costs while using less energy and water. As an industry, it brings us closer to the goal of green dialysis.

- Savings on electricity consumption of approx. 15,000 kWh/year (forecast)
- Reduction of CO₂ emissions at approx. 6.6 tonnes/year (forecast)
- Relief for employees through digitalisation of logging activities (e.g. daily log)
- Savings on service costs through digitalisation of the water treatment system (remote monitoring)
