Heat pump association references GreenTec solution
Where possible and sensible, we like to use heat pumps as part of our sector networking to preheat water for the dialysis process in an energy-efficient manner.
Why heat pumps are unbeatably efficient
When set up and used correctly, heat pumps are incredibly efficient. They often achieve a coefficient of performance (COP) that enables them to generate three to four times more thermal energy than they consume in electrical energy. This translates into energy savings and makes them a cost-effective choice for long-term operation.
Especially in combination with renewable energy sources such as photovoltaic systems, they achieve outstanding results: the self-consumption rate of solar-generated electricity is increased and energy consumption is significantly reduced overall.
This is exactly what we did for the Nephrology Centres Münsterland GbRin Emsdetten.
Since 2023, a combination of two air-to-water heat pumps, a photovoltaic system and our HE.RO has ensured that the dialysis water is heated in a climate-friendly and energy-efficient manner in our sector network. We use our GPS software to monitor and analyse consumption data to ensure that the heat pump and other devices are performing optimally.
We are delighted that the German Heat Pump Association is referencing this project.
